NFT chess pieces have AI powers built-in that help players learn faster and unlock more rewards. Players may view, buy, and delegate their NFT pieces in our marketplace and can view and buy NFTs in secondary markets as well.
There are two types of NFTs in the ChessX ecosystem, Free Mint NFTs and Limited Edition NFTs.
The ChessX Team distributes Free Mint NFTs to the community as in-game rewards from different chests that can be won in different levels in the game. We will also provide Free Mint NFTs through time-limited events and airdrops.
ChessX also sells Limited Edition NFTs through PFP collections as an additional revenue source that expands our game universe with new IP and character tie-ups. These NFTs will be listed on the Ethereum Layer 1 and on Bitcoin through the Ordinals protocol.
If you mint directly from the ChessX Marketplace, there is no activation fee. However, if you purchase NFTs from a secondary marketplace like OpenSea, or transfer a hero to a new address, ChessX will charge a 4% fee to the seller.
ChessX will subsidize the gas fees for Free Mint NFTs.
Hero chess piece holders may delegate their NFT to a player who wants to play and earn for a revenue split of Bitcoin rewards. The default is 60% of the reward (initially WBTC) to the player and 40% to the NFT owner; the split increasingly favors the owner as they upgrade the piece to higher levels (and higher rewards).
NFTs may be upgraded to earn players additional WBTC rewards for winning on top of the base reward. To upgrade an NFT, the player must pay some amount of WBTC to the serivice (or direct credit card payment) and burn the old NFT to get a new one wint new attributes, AI powers, and reward multiplier.
NFTs provide an additional reward bonus as they are upgraded (the level 1 multiplier is 100%) within the following ranges:

If an NFT is transferred to another address, it must be reactivated for 5,000 SATs.
Note: SAT upgrade costs will adjust dynamically to preserve service sustainability at the cost of user growth. 1 BTC = 100,000,000 SAT.
In additional to regularly scheduled tournaments that require a WBTC buy-in, ChessX will host exclusive free tournaments with no entry cost for Limited Edition NFT holders with crypto prizes that do not require an entry fee.
Players may buy and well Free Mint chess pieces on secondary marketplaces like and . Note that some Free Mint NFTs may be , such as NFT characters the player collects that are related to the main story line.
